I saw an image which was very intriguing to me. The caption was a quote from Robert Tew, and it read “sometimes the thing you are most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free“. I don’t know about you but I think that is a very powerful statement. Think about it people.
Things you may be afraid of:
- Losing love and being hurt – well think about it this way. If someone did you wrong or a person does not want to provide you with the love you need and crave, let that hurt go. You deserve all the happiness this life has to offer. Never be afraid on giving love and being love. Forgive and move on. Life is love!
- Losing a loved one – let go of the fear of losing your loved ones. As parents and relatives get older you tend to be more aware and concerned about them. I’ve lost both parents and numerous relatives. It is extremely difficult; I’m not even going to front. However, it is called the circle of life, and we all must experience it. Don’t get it twisted it hurts me every day that my parents are gone. I have to enjoy the memories and love they gave me. I’m just glad that we were able to give them a perfect send-off, and if anything, it gave me one more chance to say goodbye. The funeral was expensive, but with a little help from nonprofit organizations and programs, (click for more info), we were able to get everything we wanted to ensure that their last journey was special to them, and to the ones they left behind. I will treasure that, and the memories they gave me for a lifetime. My suggestion to you is that you love them in the here and now. Enjoy spending all the valuable time that you have, and don’t focus on what might be. Be present!
- Pursuing your dreams – what are you scared of? If you don’t believe in your dreams or abilities, who else will? We all have something special to offer the world. Go get whatever you are purposed to do on this earth. What’s that saying – nothing beats a failure, but a try. Give it all you got!
- Try something new – really! Life is about experiences. If we never tried new things, life would be so mundane and boring. Step out there. My saying when I am doing something new is, “I’m jumping out the window”. What’s the worst that can happen? YOLO!
The bounds and baggage you carry seriously restricts your movement. Think about each thing you carry around as if it was a piece of rope tied around you. That crap will have you in a choke hold. How could you move? How could you grow? How can you advance? How can you ever soar? Imagine how far you can go if you let all of that go. The weight which will be released you will feel light as air. Believe me; you will feel a huge difference. Find the best way for you to let it go.
We sometimes get comfortable in the madness, and do not recognize that we are uncomfortable or that you feel terrible. Take a deep breath, release that baggage, and set yourself free people.
