That Thing Called Life

Let's share our experiences together.

Where Does The Time Go???

Okay, like seriously! I just checked my blog stats and realized that my last post was over a month ago. Seems like it was just yesterday (I know, so cliché). Another prime example that time waits for no man/woman! The reality is we get caught up in the daily rat race, and tasks that we deem lesser priority get pushed to the back burner. I know I am very guilty of saying “I will do so and so tomorrow, next week, or next month”. Taking for granted that tomorrow may never come. I have experienced the regret of putting things off. Here is a poem I wrote when my dad passed away.

I am speechless, words don’t come to mind

Where did this time go, the days I let slip by

I’m dealing with the regret, wishing I could hug you one more time

You are my daddy, oh father of mine

I’m so sorry and this pain I have to deal

I wish we had more time, but our tomorrow was never revealed

I treasure the memories and will see you in my dreams

I will hold you in my heart until we meet again

Love Always and Forever, Tashia

As you can see, I let time slip away. With the recent realization that I let a month get away from me, a change has to be made. What do I do now?

It means that:

  • I have to laugh more.
  • I have to tell my family and friends how much they mean to me and that I love them.
  • I have to spend more time with my family and friends.
  • I have to be more spontaneous.
  • I have to spend time each day addressing or completing a task that will get me closer to living my purpose.

I can no longer say I will do it tomorrow – now is the time. From this day forward, live in the present – it is a gift. If you are blessed to see another day, be thankful and make the best out of every moment!

Best Wishes!

Tashia
